We are pleased to officially announce that after several years of hiatus, the "Baltic Time Attack" series will return to the Baltic race tracks this season. It will cover three rounds in all three Baltic states, with the Estonian and Latvian rounds taking place as part of the grand "Pärnu Summer Race 2025" and "Riga Summer Race 2025" circuit racing events, while the Lithuanian round will be held together with the well-known "Ring Challenge" series.
In recent years, local Time Attack racing series have successfully developed in all three Baltic states, involving both motorsport newcomers and experienced racers. To promote the development of drivers and this discipline, it seemed logical to organize competitions on a Baltic scale, bringing together the fastest and most passionate drivers from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The format and goal of the competition are planned to be similar to the local "Best Lap" (Estonia), "Superlaps" (Latvia), and "Ring Challenge" (Lithuania) series – participants will have to try to set the fastest lap times in several driving sessions.
Work is still ongoing on the regulations and technical rules of the "Baltic Time Attack" series, but they will be adapted to the rules of the local championships and are expected to be ready soon. However, the calendar is already known – the first round will take place as part of the "Pärnu Summer Race 2025" on July 5-6 in Estonia, “Porsche Ring”, followed by a joint round with the "Ring Challenge" in “Nemuno Žiedas” racetrack Kačergine, Lithuania, on August 2, and the third and final round will take place on August 30-31 as part of the "Riga Summer Race 2025" in “Bikernieki” race track, Latvia.
The organization and coordination of the "Baltic Time Attack" series will be undertaken by the "Baltic Racing Series" team, which has many years and even decades of experience in circuit racing. It should be emphasized that the renewed racing series has been created in close cooperation with the motorsport federations of all three Baltic states and local race organizers. "The new, Baltic-unifying racing series will definitely contribute to the circuit racing discipline. It will be exciting for the best local drivers to compete with representatives from neighboring countries, and "Baltic Time Attack" participants will be pleased that two of the three races will take place as part of grand circuit racing events," says Jānis Ducmanis, head of the LAF Circuit Commission.
As in the local cups, both street and race cars will be able to participate in the "Baltic Time Attack" races, which will, of course, be divided into separate classes. It is currently planned that there will be seven classes in total, allowing participants to compete with equally matched competitors. More detailed information about the classes, competition format, and technical rules will soon be available on the website www.balticracingseries.eu
